  1. Great podcast. Totally agree with the Mirror’s Edge comment, I was immediately reminded of that upon seeing the Spiderman trailer. IMO the first person view never really works in movies.

RE: Samurai Cop – You never noticed the wig? What happened (or so I hear) is that he cut his hair after filming but had to come back for reshoots. His hair changes from real to fake throughout. Check it out, the wig falls off at about the 41 second mark – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot-JxFIH_tc

Samurai Cop – the gift that keeps on giving.

  2. Thanks for listening!

I’d noticed that his hair looks a lot “bigger” in places hah but never would’ve thought it was a wig, only because I didn’t think anyone would be so stupid to cut their hair whilst making a movie, even Matt Hannon. But now that you say they did re-shoots that makes more sense…even if it is hard to believe, given how inept the film is, that they even knew of the term ‘re-shoot’.

Seems like they still forgot to shoot establishing shots and an actual opening to the movie hah.

It really is the gift that keeps on giving. I’m hoping one day we’ll get a special edition with an epic two hour documentary and an audio commentary from Matt Hannon and Robert Z’dar. Then my life will be complete.

  3. Although I am aware such practices go on, I like to keep them far from mind and I’ve never before heard the term “Hot Carl”. Until now, that is. I had to go look it up, didn’t I? “Hot Carls”, “Warm Carls” and “Cold Carls” ?!?!?! Such precise terminology.

Which beggars the question: Who the fuck was Carl? And, more importantly, what was he thinking when his name became synonymous with said acts.

BTW, is that John Saxon on the ‘Invasion of the Fleshhunters’ cover?

Great to have you and him back, sir.

  4. Thank you sir! Glad to be back doing the show again. And sorry about the scatological practices exposure.

And yep that is Mr Saxon, The legend.
